Do you have a passion for sports and understanding of the cycling industry with a background in Sports PR/Marketing? Our client is looking to fill the role of a bilingual Senior Account Executive  in the Middle East and is looking for someone with plenty of get up and go, as well as a real drive to get the job done!

The Candidate

  • Fluency in English and Arabic, written and spoken
  •     A clear passion for sports and entertainment
  •     3+ years’ experience in Sports PR / Marketing
  •     Client-facing experience within the UAE
  •     Proven ability to prioritise and manage your time efficiently
  •     Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
  •     Outstanding written and oral communications skills
  •     Working knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Carma (media monitoring)
  •     Understanding of social analytics tools – Sysmos, Facebook, Instagram and Twitter Analytics
  •     Proven track record of working with photographers and production companies and understands the creative process for visual content creation
  •     Strong regional contacts with English and Arabic media across sport & lifestyle media, with a sound understanding of the regional landscape
The Role

To be successful in this role, you'll be responsible for managing the day-to-day running of your respective accounts, building solid relationships with clients, mentoring juniors and supporting the senior team, reporting to an Account Director.

As part of the Brand team based in UAE offices, you'd be providing communication and event marketing services to a variety of key regional client including UAE Team Emirates, DP World Tour Championship, RiSE Festival and ICLDC’s annual walkathon, ‘The WALK’.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  •     Building strong relationships with GCC media (English and Arabic) and develop news angles, stories and pitches that deliver positive media coverage
  •     Creating social media content in English and Arabic on projects
  •     Creating social media results reports on a monthly basis
  •     Social community management across event accounts
  •     Managing social influencers on behalf of the team and overseeing editorial media partnerships
  •     Producing video and static image content for social channels with the Design Studio and external production partners
  •     Managing client relationships day-to-day
  •     Developing and shaping PR campaigns
  •     Attending PR events, media briefings and launches
  •     Managing and mentoring junior members of staff
