Career Clinic No.5 - Report
It's said that 70% of the message you send to people is visual rather than verbal, representing everything from the way you present yourself to your body language. At last night's Career Clinic, we tackled the first part of this constant conundrum by helping our attendees understand just what their professional style should (and should not!) be.
Partnering with accredited stylist, mum of four and Mums First founder, Marianne Azhari, and Regional Training Manager for Tom Ford Beauty, Scott Price, this was one of most fun Career Clinics yet. We gathered at Nest Dubai, and armed with plenty of coffee and some delicious nibbles the team demonstrated three key looks that women could focus on to get them through their working day or nail that interview.
Kicking off with Level A dressing for the more corporate world, running through Level B for managerial or mixed-task roles and landing up in the creative world of Level C dressing, Marianne demonstrated just what key pieces were needed as well as the theory behind why dressing appropriately makes such a difference to your confidence and your career.
Scott's input to pair these looks with stunning make up finishes and approaches, along with incredible technical know-how to take the mystery out of products and their application, came in a practical form with plenty of humour thrown in and many of our attendees received mini-makeovers throughout the evening.
We finished with give-aways for free styling, make up sessions and with gift vouchers. It was such a popular evening that we hope to repeat it soon, so watch this space and see you at the next one!
